Hi Robert!
I was looking this over and I have also wondered about this. I work for a
college and I spoke to the Disability Coordinator, and we are going to meet
for lunch and discuss this.
Something that I had thought of off the top of my head though would be to
create a map specifically for the consumer with disabilities, personalizing
it for them. I am not sure if it is something that is workable for your
situation though. I had always wondered what the procedure would be if a
sight-impaired student was in one of our computer labs alone and an
evacuation order was issued. Our school has always gone above and beyond
when it comes to specific routes for specific situations but this one
always made me wonder.
I will report back any ideas or procedures that we come up with.
Have a great week!
