Dear WebAIM list folks,
Since many people are on both the WebAIM list and WAI lists, don't usually cross-post messages from the WAI Interest Group lists (<https://www.w3.org/WAI/IG/#mailinglist>) here. However, it's been a while and we wanted to make sure that everyone gets this info about W3C WAI's Web Accessibility Introduction course.

December 3 is International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD).
Technology has become increasingly important in many people's lives.
Throughout December, many students have fewer options and more available time.
These are some of the current opportunities to encourage our colleagues and others in our sphere of influence to *learn about digital accessibility for disability inclusion*.
The free online course "Introduction to Web Accessibility" is introduced in:
*Digital Accessibility Foundations* - Free Online Course
https://www.w3.org/WAI/fundamentals/foundations-course/
The course is designed *for technical and non-technical* learners. It is structured so that you can focus on the topics that you are most interested in. It includes content for developers, designers, ux, writers, managers, advocates, people with disabilities, professionals, instructors, and students.
There is no fee to take the course. The optional Certificate can be printed, listed in resumes, and linked to from online profiles.
The course introduction page < https://www.w3.org/WAI/fundamentals/foundations-course/ > includes:
* Course content (syllabus)
* Topics for focus
* Video excerpts from the course

We keep the WAI Announcement list (that is different from the WAI IG Discussion List) low traffic so the announcements get to you without clutter.
We encourage you to subscribe to get WAI news, since we usually don't "cross post" to the WebAIM list to avoid duplication for people on both lists.
Thanks much for any help spreading WAI News!
