Since so many web developers have to deal with Word, PowerPoint, and PDF files, it's worthwhile to get the ADS (Accessible Document Specialist) certification from IAAP, too.

Subject: [WebAIM] value of CPACC certification

Dear Colleagues,

One of my past students (CSCI major) asked me about the value of the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies certification from the IAAP. I would think the CPACCcombined with the Certified Professional in Web Accessibility would be worthwhile, especially for someone starting out in the field.

I'm curious what other people think. I look forward to your feedback. Note, this person was a CSCI major and is interested in the web development area of IT.
