Good morning, all,
I have been asked to asses the accessibility of a video and its conformance to Section 508. The video is essentially comprised of on-screen text, with incidental music on the soundtrack. I believe this makes it a âmedia alternative for textâ and not synchronized media.
The video lacks captions, a transcript, and an audio track presenting information that is equivalent to that provided visually. It is just images of text and music.
It seems clear that the video is not fully accessible and needs work, since the on-screen text would not be consumable by someone who is deaf and blind.
But is it Section 508-conformant? I am having trouble finding an clear answer on the Access Board and W3C sites. Iâd appreciate any help you all can offer.
Thanks in advance,
RH
