I agree. I recently had a call with a vendor and my one question was: a
team is working on a document document in your platform. The office head
decides that the content on the right should be sent to the left. Would
your product be able to handle this change and make sure that the tags are
correct?

Their answer: we probably should add that.

Thanks for letting me know the product is not mature.

Lawyer Lainey Feingold discusses the recent lawsuit against AccessiBe. See
https://www.lflegal.com/2024/07/accessibe-class-action/

A small business subscribed to AccessiBe's "easy button" that promised to
make their website fully compliant. As discussed on this list, the
accessibility isn't there.

I'm seeing a lot more companies that advertise accessibility fixes that
don't quite do the job well enough:

* Website remediation software or widgets like AccessiBe.

* PDF remediation software or online services.

* Document and chart-creation software that promises its files are
accessible, whether in their native file format or when exported to PDF.

* Software plug-ins that claim to export to accessible PDF.

Buyer beware: "Accessible" seems to be the latest advertising buzzword,
regardless of whether the software or service actually makes accessible
content.

Before purchasing any of these products or services, run tests on your own
work (not the company's demonstration projects). Be sure to have it reviewed
by people who use various assistive technologies, as well as professional
accessibility experts.
