Hi Rebecca

I reviewed a Google site which had embedded docs like you mentioned. I
instructed the author to change everything from an embed to a normal
link so that the user and their browser settings to do the work,
wether that is to open it in a tab, download, or automatically launch
the viewer of their choice.

When the screen reader gets to a document on the site, it will announce page 1 of X and will continue to advance to the next page, depending on how large the document is. The documents open in a preview on the site. The controls to open the document in Google Drive aren't in the tab order. I don't have experience editing a Google site, so don't know if there is a way to bring this control into the tab order and give it an accessible name. I suggested just linking the documents onto the site. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
