*Accessing Higher Ground*

WebAIM will be presenting at this year's Accessing Higher Ground
conference. The 13th Annual Accessing Higher Ground: Accessible Media,
Web and Technology Conference will take place November 15-19, 2010 in
Westminster, CO and focuses on the implementation and benefits of
universal design, accessible media, and assistive technology in the
university, business and public setting. This is a wonderful
conference for anyone interested in web accessibility. More details at
http://www.colorado.edu/ATconference/

WebAIM is presenting two half-day pre-conference workshops - one on
Building Accessible Web Applications with ARIA and one on Building an
Accessible HTML5 Web Page. The sessions run back-to-back on Tuesday,
November 16th. Registration for the full day is only $175. We're also
coordinating a general session exploring the effectiveness of current
web accessibility efforts.

*WebAIM Web Accessibility Training*

WebAIM still has seats available for a two-day web accessibility
training to be held next week at our offices in Logan, Utah. More
details at http://webaim.org/training/

*Accessibility Summit*

I have the privilege of presenting at the Accessibility Summit -
http://environmentsforhumans.com/2010/accessibility-summit/ - coming
up on September 30th. This full-day, online conference has an amazing
line-up of speakers. I'll be presenting on web accessibility and
compatibility with assistive technologies... and other fun stuff. Use
the discount code "A11Y_JARED10" for 10% of the registration fee.

*Southwest Technology Showcase*

If you're involved in technology services on a campus, you may be
interested in the Southwest Technology Showcase -
http://nln.nevada.edu/STS/ - to be held Nov. 4-5 in Henderson, Nevada.
I will be providing the opening keynote address about motivations for
web accessibility.

We hope to see you at one of these or the other events WebAIM will be
participating in.

Is there any access via webcast or the like for those of us abroad?

The Accessibility Summit -
http://environmentsforhumans.com/2010/accessibility-summit/ - is
entirely online. I don't believe that remote access is available to
the other conferences and training.
