STUDENT FEEDBACK
Here's what some past students of the course are saying
about D201: Accessible Web Design:
"I have no problem praising HWG's Accessible Web Design course.
The course was thorough and enlightening. I commented on the
class with a friend who had taken another accessible design
course and he was impressed by the level of this course.
Apparently the course that he had taken did not possess the
depth of discussion on accessibility issues nor the practical
implementation of techniques that this course did. Consequently,
he bought Paciello's book and is planning to enroll in a future
session of this course." --Clay Berglund
"Before I took this course, accessible web design was a confusing
mishmash of federal guidelines and recommendations. Now I'm
coding sites that meet guidelines..." --Gillian Murrey
"This course was a great enrichment to my knowledge about Web
accessibility, because it forced me to put my hands on existing
tools rather than just read about them or discuss them verbally."
--Gottfried E. Zimmermann
"Kynn and Liz provided resources and food for thought which,
along with the inputs of my classmates, helped me formulate a
draft policy for web accessibility at LCC and an 'attack plan'
to make existing sites more accessible." --Anita F. Lees

Kynn,
I jumped through a few hoops just to become a HWG trial member so that I
could take your course. Imagine my surprise when I got to the enroll on-line
page and was told the course was full. Next time I'll try to act faster.

The class shouldn't be full. Let me check my links and make sure they
are going to the correct class.

This is strange -- the class _isn't_ full. The URL to get to the link for
registration is (long url)
http://www.iwaguild.com/cgi-bin/sql/pullout.cgi?template=listing/course_info.htm&listing.ID=0007711
I will write to the IWA/HWG administrators to check on this.

PS: Sorry about the hoops, i have no control over that :p

An *unsolicited* recommendation to anyone considering taking this class:
As someone who has taken Kynn's course (Winter 2000), I can highly
recommend it. The assignments were very well thought out, and the
instructor very helpful. It served as an excellent foundation for the
subsequent work and study I've done in web page accessibility. Even
after nearly 2 years, I still draw upon what I learned from taking the
class.

*blush!*
As an extra note, we're working on the most recent feedback from
students and devising better ways to give response to student postings,
which has been one of the biggest requests in the past -- so I am
hoping that January's class will be the best session ever. ;)
Okay, enough self-promotion... back to accessibility!
