Hi all,

I created this PDF for our PTA program exams, and I think it's good to go,
but I have no official training when it comes to creating anything like
this. Is there a possibility that someone could look this over? I would
seriously appreciate it. Any feedback or possible issues would be greatly
appreciated! To actually check out all the functionality, it will need to
be downloaded
<https://www.midmich.edu/application/files/6616/0701/2260/PTA_206_Mod_II_Final_Exam.pdf
>
.

I created two custom buttons on the final page that sends a locked version
of the PDF report to both the professor and the student. I didn't choose to
completely secure the form as much as having signature verification, etc...
because I was trying to keep it as painless as possible for the faculty to
use.

I have checked the form with NVDA and it works perfectly for me, but I very
well could be biased and not seeing all possible issues.

Thank you so much for your help!

I can't help with the PDF, but did you know that the entire https://www.midmich.edu domain is blocked to some (and perhaps all) countries outside the US? I had to use a VPN to get a US IP address in order to access the website. I just get a timeout error if I try to access the site with an IP address in the UK or Mexico.

Laurie,

With its tables, form elements, etc, you have a fairly complex 8-page PDF that would take a trained analyst 3 hours to thoroughly remediate. Not something we would give a new analyst to work on.

You can run a free PAC3 test program to find these several elements that fail:

- Tables fail for structure
- Form tags fail for structure
- Metadata is missing
- The logical tab order fails

That and the Adobe Accessibility Checker are minimum test criteria, but those don't cover all that you would need to remediate this example.

We do that remediation work as our main business, but I suspect many on this list do so as well. I would suggest tasking an experienced PDF remediator rather than learn accessibility with this document.
