Hello

In reviewing our ancient accessibility statement<https://www.abdn.ac.uk/about/our-website/accessibility.php> I discovered that the legislation we reference - namely the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act (SENDA) 2001<http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2001/10/>; - has been superceded by the Equality Act 2010<http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2010/15/contents>;. At least, that's what I gather from the amendments<http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2001/10/part/2/chapter/2>; in the section pertaining to Higher and Further Education.

Or are the respective Acts cumulative? I'd be grateful if anyone could shed any light.

Thanks,
Allan

Have a look at https://www.jisc.ac.uk/guides/equality-disability-and-the-law

(and now I'm having flashbacks to my time working at uni, frequenting
the JISC mailing list, and going to http://iwmw.org/ almost every year)
