Hi,

Is anyone familiar with an app called Slido, which can apparently be used during conferences to let the audience ask questions, participate in polls, ETC. A colleague's organization is wanting to use it, and there doesn't appear to be a VPAT for it. I'm going to try and check it out if time permits, but I thought I'd see if anyone here has had any experience with it.

Thanks!

Courtney

Yes, I have briefly tested the Slido web site on Windows and the iPhone with
a screen reaer. I did not test for any other disabilities. The test was an
informal evaluation to get an idea of possible challenges. I even reached
out to the company in relation to the accessibility and the response was not
that positive. In saying, I was surprised the level of accessibility already
there. I am not saying it is fully accessible either.

iPhone Safari:
No real challenges with Voice-Obver I saw other than:
* No live regions to notify you of incoming messages, state changes of the
vote button and similar notifications.
* entering in text worked fine.
* the messages could be read.
* the interface was not to complex for a user who is reasonable with using a
iPhone internet browsing.
Generally I didn't not see any major barriers with the quick look at I did.
I only was looking at from an attendee point of view and the questions
section. We did not look at the poling part.

Windows: Same focus and time frame.
Used Jaws and NVDA with IE, Firefox and Chrome.
* The edit field did not work at all.
* the web interface was more busy than the mobile version.
* I couldn't receive incoming new messages or see the question I posted.
* Could not see if a question had any votes against it or the question I
voted.
Basically, this had more accessibility issues on this platform which I am
surprised about how well it work on the mobile platform.

The total sum.

Sean

from facebook page question March 30
Greetings. Is sli.do accessible to persons with disabilities? Have you
developed it in conformance with WCAG 2.0 standards?

Slido <https://www.facebook.com/slidoapp/?rc=p> Hi Gary, Slido is not
compatibile with such standards at the moment. We try to do our best to
keep the Present view readable for participants and meet the color contrast
requirements, but we'd love to hear any ideas and tips that will help us
make it more friendly for people with different disabilities. Feel free to
send them our way at = EMAIL ADDRESS REMOVED = . Thank you!
