Well, it IS Saturday...

I failed to mention that the filter+ARIA works in the following combinations:

* NVDA2010.2 + Firefox 3.6.12 (a popular combination)
* JAWS 11.1447 + IE8 (an even more popular combination)

It does not work with:

* NVDA2010.2 + IE8
* JAWS 11.1447 + Firefox 3.6.12

But then, who would expect otherwise?

Also, I did more testing of the "Clear Filters" and reloading the
page issues, with both the ORIGINAL filter on the PicNet site and my
kludged filter. The bad news is: Yes - the filtering is flaky at
best. The good news is: my kludge seems to get the number of rows
correct after a change. I'm not sure I'd use the filter in either
form on a production site. My humble opinion, of course! <G>
