asking for your opinion re. accessibility law in the Philippines

Hi everyone.

This question is focused on accessibility laws.

First, let me tell you about the current situation. The Philippines has
its own accessibility law. You can read it here:

Note: In 2010, these recommendations were included in an accessibility law.

I believe that the accessibility guidelines included in the law are very
incomplete. Moreover, the accessibility guidelines were based on WCAG 1.0.

I have openly told the agencies and groups who were involved in creating
the law that it may not be very helpful due to its being too short,
outdated, and incomplete.

As an accessibility advocate, my goal is to tell the agencies and groups
that including WCAG 2.0 in the accessibility law would be the best option.

The agencies and groups told me that it may be difficult to change the
law since it has already been published and finalized.

I still wish to push for WCAG 2.0 as I believe that having an outdated
set of guidelines in the accessibility law would impede web
accessibility in the Philippines rather than improve it.

What do you think is the best action to take?
