We're still working out the details. We know that we will provide a
certain number of API calls for free. So if you have a small site and
simply want to check for issues on all pages perhaps once a month, or
if you're only wanting an easy way to spot check certain pages it
would be free. More significant API calls (meaning thousands or more)
will probably be provided on a subscription or per hit basis. More
advanced functionality will be rolling out later in the year. We want
it to be inexpensive, yet still provide some means for us to fund
continued WAVE development. The core WAVE functionality (online
version and toolbars) is and always will be free.
