We are currently looking for an accessible web-conferencing system as we migrate to Moodle 2 and have conferenced with Blackboard Collaborate. We're waiting for guest accounts so that we can test the system ourselves. One member of our team is a Computer Science student who is blind and who uses a screen reader so, with his assistance, we're able to effectively do this work. This has raised awareness levels of our team considerably.

Are others finding that Blackboard Collaborate lives up to its accessibility claims?

I work at the University of Montana and wanted to mention that the system
we're using is Moodlerooms. We work directly with the company to recommend
system-wide accessibility changes and maintain consistent communication with
them on this. I wouldn't say we're having 'bad results' with the LMS. The
complaint with OCR is largely focused how content is being placed in the
LMS. The two functions that relate directly to the system - chat and
discussion board - are being discussed with Moodlerooms.

Hope this is helpful information.
