FlexSlider 2 and accessibility

WebAIM folks:

Before I spend a lot of time testing and trying to help retrofit, has
anyone already worked on assuring that FlexSlider 2 incorporates
accessibility appropriately?
Apparently, this slider is fairly widely used, so I'm hoping work has
already been done. I'm trying to save time by asking here, in order
to avoid wheel-reinvention. Just looking at the main page, I'm not
seeing a good sign.

I hear what I'm imagining is a carousel (since I hear tell-tale
numbers (1 through 4), but no content associated with them). And
then, I see the previous and next links.

Maybe somebody has done the work, but just hasn't gotten it back into the core.

I'm also going to post to the Free-ARIA list, so apologies in advance
for duplication.
