WebAIM participants,
Please consider filling out my brief survey on viewersÂ’ attitudes and preferences about closed captioning. Thanks!
Do you watch closed-captioned programming regularly? Take this anonymous survey designed to measure viewersÂ’ assessments of caption quality.

If you are over 18 years of age and spend at least some time each week watching closed-captioned programming on television, DVD/Blu-Ray, or the Internet, you are invited to complete this online survey designed to assess your preferences, habits, and attitudes about the quality of closed-captioned media.
Your responses will be completely anonymous. This study has been approved by the Human Research Protection Program at Texas Tech University.
For more information on the study, see the information sheet: http://seanzdenek.com/2013/12/20/surveying-the-preferences-and-attitudes-of-regular-viewers-of-closed-captioning/
I plan to analyze this survey data for inclusion in my forthcoming book on captioning: Reading Sounds: Accessing Popular Culture Through the Lens of Closed-Captioned Media (under contract with The University of Chicago Press).
The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes of your time.
If you have any questions, contact the survey author: Dr. Sean Zdenek, Associate Professor, Department of English, <EMAIL REMOVED> , 806.834.6652.
