Greetings!

We've embarked on a closed captioning endeavor here at Accurate Secretarial LLC, The Closed Captioning Project.

As you know, one of the services we provide is the closed captioning of Internet videos. There are many reasons to caption a video, one of which is to allow greater accessibility to people who are unable to experience the media in its intended form.

Traditional captions are good for certain types of videos, but for others (like music videos, for example), something more is needed. We are demonstrating that we can approach parity by improving upon traditional captioning practices. And that's what this project -- The Closed Captioning Project -- is about.

We're seeking input and feedback from video producers, academics, viewers (those with hearing, the hard-of-hearing and the Deaf), and even other captioners.

So, if you could check out our YouTube group, even subscribe if you have a want to, and watch some videos and tell us what you think, that would be fantastic. Leave a comment, tell your friends, favorite professors and anyone who has an interest in moving captioning forward into the future.
