FYI:

There is a site www.epubtest.org that conducts tests of ePub readers. These include accessibility tests -- and we are always looking for persons to assist with this testing.

I would highly recommend looking at EPUB, version 3 only...Version 3 is, in my view, much better in terms of accessibility. It is based on HTML5 and has the Daisy component as well-a powerhouse format.

Plus, someone just made me aware that Harper Collins just went all EPUB 3 this month, huge thing...I believe this is where all will go eventually.

Calibre is really good, but only does EPUB 2...which is too bad, because it is a great, easy to use program.

As well, in terms of readers it is pretty good today. Take a look here for some great information:
