We have done some testing here in Minnesota and Discover 508 definitely helps. You are right that it is "spendy" as they say here in Minnesota. Also, it does take some messing around to get everything to work right. It has to be taught about different kinds of controls etc., in SharePoint, and 2013 is still a work in progress. Everything that Discover 508 did for SharePoint 2010 it does not yet do in 2013. They are working on it, but ...

I will conclude by saying, at least for screen reader users -- SharePoint is messy! (my words.)

Subject: [WebAIM] SharePoint questions

Hi All,

I am involved with a project that is going to use Share Point 2013 and then
2016. I know there were fewer issues with 2013, but still...

A colleague mentioned that there were 'plug ins' to help with the issues.
One is Discover508 and the other is AvePoint Accessibility Accelerator. Has
anyone used them? They are pricey, so I wanted to get some idea of whether
they work well or not.

Also, if anyone has worked with training/HR programs like Lanteria HR,
ShareKnowledge or Elearning Force, I would also love to hear about your
experiences.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

Lisa
