Another approach to the "trapped tabbing" conundrum can be found here:

John Norgaard has a good sample and explanation, as well as a link to an MXP extension version (which if my memory serves me correctly is also available through the macromedia flash exchange). Anyway, works well in IE5+, NS7+... NS4x doesn't understand tabindexing (haven't tried it on the Mac... just PC)
