Thanks Jim for clarifying my answer. As I am working and responding to emails, I tend to abbreviate quite a bit.

You do not want to use 365 through the browser. As JIM stated, make sure all necessary Office features are installed on the physical or virtual machine itself.

I referred to that indirectly by stating that we have set up a GPO for office 365. That's networking jargon. Sorry for any confusion.
