accessible user journey for an album gallery

Hi all,

I'd appreciate help or input on figuring out the best we are creating. I
can't figure out if it's more important to make it as easy as possible to
browse through the album or to make sure to expose all of the functionality
on the page (for fear it would otherwise be discovered too late) and
thereby potentially impact the browsing.

Could I please get some feedback on which of the two journeys feels more
natural? Or if another one would be even better?

(User has entered the album gallery):

*Option 1:*

Album Gallery Title > Open gallery overview. Link. > Close gallery. Link. >

Previous image. Link. > Image 1 of 45. > Image Alt Text. Image. > Image
caption. > Next image. Link. >

Image Author. > Download image. Link. > Share this image. Link.

And in order to reduce 'noise- while browsing, interacting with the
Previous or Next link would move the focus to just after the Preview image
element in the DOM.

*Option 2:*

Album Gallery Title > Open gallery overview. Link. > Close gallery. Link. >

Image Alt text. Image. > Image caption. > Image 1 of 45. > Image Author. >
Download image. Link. > Share this image. Link. >

Previous image. Link. > Next image. Link.

Clicking on Preview or Next link in this case would move the focus to just
after the Close gallery link element in the DOM.

Many thanks!
Maya
