Hi Jim,
> I noticed that many of the links and headings on this page start with the
words "Success criterion." This makes it inefficient to use screen reader
functions for skipping and finding links. I liked the format in which you
had the success criteria and guideline links and headings starting with
numbers. This made it so screen readers could bring up the list of links
and quickly jump through the page by typing numbers.
Thanks for commenting. While WebAIM is not officially the place to make
these types of requests, many of us who have been involved with the WCAG
2.1 effort hang out here too. I am forwarding your message to that Working
Group, at the same time noting we may not be able to make too much of an
editorial change to the document at this time, as it has officially
"hardened" at the W3C. We may be able to address the need / concern in
other ways however, so please stand by.
AG WG - any thoughts?
