Audio Eye is one of those tools that claim to automatically make sites
accessible. This usually means the text is stripped and the accessible
version is merely text-only. If you totally buy into the platform, you
probably get a little better accessibility, at the cost of design freedom.
It looks like they offer two types of pdf remediation. For dynamic stuff,
you must design your pdfs to their specifications, not yours. For static
pdfs, or existing ones, which is what you are asking about, it probably
does some OCR and tagging. I can see it breaking down quickly if the pdfs
are highly stylized.
