I can't speak as a screen reader user but I know the checker has improved
with the latest versions of MS Office 365.

Also might be of interest - Microsoft has a dedicated answer desk
<https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/disability-answer-desk> for
accessibility product issues, accessibility questions and use of Assistive
technology (run by people with disabilities). Chat is available 24/7, phone
calls and video chat are a bit more limited in the open hours.
