iOS. I think there is a bug with Voiceover. I have seen the swipe get stuck
on buttons or specific areas of Apple Mail for example. You have to do what
you have done to get out of the issue. I have even restarted voiceover and
the issue goes away for while. I have not even found a way to reproduce it
reliably.

I partially agree with Steve. It *could* be a trap but hard to tell at the
moment. When swiping, I don't think an element gets a true "on focus"
event the same as if you were using a bluetooth keyboard, but I don't have
time to test that at the moment. There are too many variables at play here
such as whether it's a true native app or if it's using a UIWebView to just
get web content, whether a voiceover swipe generates the same event as a
bluetooth tab event, whether different events are generated on a UIWebView
(probably the same events that Safari would generate) or a native app event,
etc. But it sounds like the app must be trapping the event somehow and
preventing the focus from moving. It's been too long since I've written
native app code and the APIs have changed a lot since then so I'm not sure
how much control a developer has over the voiceover focus.
