Hi,

We are excited to announce two vacancy announcements for IT Accessibility Specialists to support the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights' National Digital Access Team. The vacancy announcements are separated by eligibility: one is for current federal employees and people qualifying under special hiring authorities<https://www.usajobs.gov/job/651671300>; the other is for members of the public<https://www.usajobs.gov/job/651671200>. These positions are brand new. Both people who are hired will work full-time to support a dynamic team enforcing Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act in the educational setting, ensuring school districts, charter schools, colleges, universities, and public libraries are complying with their legal obligations to make their online services, programs, and activities accessible to people with disabilities. The positions are telework-eligible and can be fulfilled anywhere nationwide.
