This is a bit of a unique situation.
Do we give screen reader users equivalent info to sighted users, i.e.
alt="ABC logo". That is the text equivalent of the logo, or do we give
screen reader users more practical info that is not consistent with the
logo image appearance, "application a application a".
Some combination alt text might work, as Patrick suggests.
If you can, I'd push on the provider to add visible text to the link that
says "Application A homepage", then you can give the logo alt text of
"designed by ABC" or "member abc" or whatever the logo is supposed to
communicate.
