I making lots of charts for my students. Usually at the top of the page is a title, as well as a picture, and often, a caption that goes along with the picture. Occasionally, for visual purposes, I put the title in the middle of a three-column, single-row table.
My question is, is there an order that is generally preferred—I suppose, to make things easier for either screen readers, or the comprehension of students using them?
That is to say, would it flow better putting the title of the document in the first cell on the left? Or does that matter? I suppose I can manipulate the order that it is read, when I make my accessibility adjustments in Adobe Acrobat, but I'm still wondering if there is a standard that is used by the community here, and if so, for what reason.
Thanks.
