WebAIM is a partner within the National Center for Disability and
Access to Education.&nbsp; Some of you may be interested in knowing
about this free NCDAE Webcast on the electronic accessibility of
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics classes.&nbsp; Items
highlighted will include MathML and Flash accessibility for
simulations.

The National Center on
Disability and Access to Education is pleased to announce another in
our series of free Webcasts. The audio broadcast will be held
Thursday, February 17th&nbsp; and is titled "Electronic
Accessibility in Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics".

The broadcast will begin at
1PM Mountain Standard Time (12:00PM Pacific; 2:00PM Central; 3:00PM
Eastern). You can tune in beginning about 10 minutes before the
broadcast begins at <a

size="-1">http://ncdae.org/webcast.cfm

The broadcast will last
approximately one hour and will feature Dr. John Gardner Physics
professor and Director of Oregon State University's Science Access
Project, Paul Topping who is president and CEO of Design Science, and
Jared Smith of WebAIM and NCDAE.

The discussion will be
moderated by Dr. Cyndi Rowland.

&nbsp;

The panel will address
problems in the electronic accessibility of STEM courses&nbsp; (i.e.,
those in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).&nbsp; Of
particular interest to listeners will be discussions on the use of
MathML and accessible Flash simulations.

&nbsp;

The broadcast requires either
Windows Media Player or Quicktime. To view real-time captions, you
must have the Macromedia Flash Player installed. Download links are
available on the Webcast page.

&nbsp;

Questions may be submitted to
the panelists before or during the broadcast by submitting the form on
the Webcast Web page. Archives of the broadcast will be available
shortly after the conclusion of the broadcast. If you have any
