Mandated accessibility standards for Central/South America?

Hi Melody,

In Brazil, there are no government Web accessibilidty standards yet. There
is a law about Internet accessibility and the Brazilian e-Government
Department is writing the standards to make people adhere to it. Also, a
group of professionals is working to colaborate with the Brazilian
National Standards Association.
As you see, we are in the beginning...

America...are there any government-mandated accessibility standards in any
of the countries in Central and South American?
