Dr. Jon Gunderson and staff will be in attendance this week at the
California State University, Northridge (CSUN) Center on Disabilities' 21st
Annual International Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference.

Dr. Gunderson and IT Accessibility Specialist Hadi Bargi Rangin will be
presenting during the conference on the following topics:

Mozilla/Firefox Accessibility Extension
The Mozilla/Firefox Accessibility Extension provides navigation, styling and
rendering features that are important in improving access to web content for
people with disabilities and testing web resources for functional
accessibility by developers.

UIUC has developed a set of best practices, accessibility management and
visualization tools to improve the design and verification of the functional
accessibility of web resources.

Building Accessibility Consortiums: WebCT Case Study
Typically people with disabilities or support, do not know whom to contact
with their accessibility issues . This panel session discusses the
development of a consortium model to organize and discuss accessibility
issues of WebCT.

Staff members will also be present in the Exhibit Hall demonstrating the
Accessible Web Publishing Wizard for Microsoft Office, an add-in to MS
Office that produces accessible HTML formats for electronic publication.

Booth visitors will also be able to view the Functional Accessibility
Evaluator (FAE) software as well as other applications that have been
developed by the Illinois Center for IT Accessibility.

Dr. Gunderson and his staff represent the Illinois Center for IT
Accessibility. iCITA is part of the Division of Disability Resources and
Educational Services at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign.
