Mary,

I just don't think there is a problem. The search engine simulation page has
a "text excerpt of page" and that text excerpt includes the "Bypass
navigation ..." text BECAUSE it is text. All the skip navigation links I
have seen will have (fortunately) this property.

So what do you see as a problem?
