Subject: is it a good idea to have a signUp form on home page?

Hi,
Usually on sites one needs to click signUp or register link to reach the signup form.
Some ppl may be finding it difficult to find these links on the page having lots of links.
If a quick signup form is provided on the home page of the site; would it be of help to users having special needs?
Suggestions welcome.

Not necessarily. What makes you think the signup form will be easier to
find than the signup link? I'd suggest:
1. Minimizing the number of links on the page by creating sub-hubpages
with a selection of relevant links.
2. Using headings to break up the links into sections.
3. Putting the signup link near the beginning of the page.
