Hi guys,

I'm at my wits end after wasting an entire day looking for a way to
subscribe to some sort of email alerts for 2 baseball teams. mlb.com
is no help. I haven't been this disgusted by the lack of accessibility
until all I wanted was something fun. I've gotten great hints on this
list so far. Does anyone have any ideas? All I want is to receive
emails about 2 teams, telling me when games are, etc.

Thanks,
Randi

Randi,

Have you tried ESPN?
I've not checked into it too in depth but it doesn't do too bad on a basic
automated check (does way better than MLB.com, that's for sure).

BTW, For the Yankees fans: How 'bout dem O's, hon?

Hi Randy

May I suggest Twitter?? I get my sport updates from there and I am sure
you will find plenty of baseball score update Twitterers for baseball
teams.

Oh Carl, why'd you have to be a Yankees fan? *smirk* Sorry for your
loss to the Orioles.. I checked out ESPN briefly, but did not find an
email list. It'll work in a pinch I suppose.

Hamish, I cannot sign up on twitter unless I get a sighty to help
unfortunately. I might just have to since baseball has started
though....

Ah the internet is frustrating haha.

Thanks,
Randi

Randi,

No, I'm an Orioles fan.
I root for two teams: The Orioles and anyone playing against the Yankees.

What, specifically, are you looking for in a Baseball site?

Oh gotcha Carl haha. I just want to sign up for an email list for the
Rays and the Cubs. Just emails telling me when they play and where to
watch/listen. I don't really want to deal with a site, thats why I
just want team specific lists. I did join their Facebooks, but don't
know how much info that'll give.

Hi there Randi and others,

This is the contact page of the original site you mentioned :
http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/help/contact_us.jsp . If I were you, I would send
them a short note explaining the problem, and asking to be manually put on
the list. Nothing might come of it, but it would only take a minute, and you
never know!

Thank you Lauren. I should contact them. I've contacted so many other
sites about other things and never heard back that now I'm a bit
disheartened. I guess there's no harm in trying though.
