Hi
Has anyone experiences or recommendations for a Head-Mouse-Interface for
Mac OS?
I'm asked by a man having ALS/MND, he would prefer continuing using his Mac.
ALS/MND is fast evolving and he can do every day less.

Hi Sven:
AssistiveWare makes a powerful and flexible onscreen keyboard for the Mac called KeyStrokes; see http://www.assistiveware.com/keystrokes.php.
EnableMart sells KeyStrokes bundled with the HeadMouse Extreme, which is a very good wireless headpointing mouse; see http://www.enablemart.com/Headmouse-Extreme-Deluxe-Bundle. (They do handle international orders; the system would be about 1638 CHF plus shipping/handling).
If your friend would prefer an eyegaze system, and if price is not a concern, the Eyegaze Edge is available for about 9500 CHF; see http://www.assistivetechnologies.com/detail.asp?product=54868. I haven't worked with this, though, so I can't vouch for its usability.

We (Maine CITE) purchased Origin Instruments HeadMouse Extreme and have
demoed it. We have not used it with clients, but it may be an option for
you. http://www.orin.com/

I use a Mac and have found their tech support to be excellent. He
might have luck if he called to ask about all this, though I know when
I called to see what they had as far as assistive computers, the
regular guys didn't know. I ended up talking to an engineer who know
much more. Apple is pretty great as far as accessibility and assistive
technologies. Tell him if he wants to ask them about what has been
suggested, to ask to speak to an engineer.
This is fascinating, btw. I never knew there was such a thing.
