Diane,

oooh. Hmmm.
So its like individual episodes of a radio broadcast, but not in
podcast form. I know I've had problems doing much of anything with
podcasts, so if its all similar, I wonder if it has to do with the
update. Are the broadcasts in your iTunes library? Did you used to
import them from the hardrive right to the iPod or from the library? I
only know how to get things from the iTunes library to the iPod. I
might not even be following here.

Randy,

I save them to the library. Use to work really well. Now, even though
they're in the library, I still have to use Ctrl plus O to add to library so
I can get to what I'm loking for. It's stuck on one song. I like the song
but for goodness sakes, I've had it in my IPod for months. Lol

Lol, I should apologize to the other users, and, would it be easier offlist?

What I mean is, and this happens in either the IPod table or in my ITunes
library, say for simplicity, I want to delete something from my IPod. The
name of what i want to delete might be David 16. I need to find that file
to delete. I can't arrow to it, because when I go to the IPod table, there
might be a song showing up, most likely the first song in my list. I can't
arrow so I try to at least start getting closer so I type in the letter d.
I have another song called Dance With The Devil which comes up. No matter
what I do after that using the letter D, it will not move from that song. I
get "Selected, Dane With the Devil" and if I arrow up or down it says, "not
selected dance with the devil."

Oh boy, I hope that helps.

You need to be using Jaws 11 to get a reasonable level of accessibility
with the latest versions of itunes.

I was doing well enough before I did something I guess I shouldn't have.
I'm using JAWS 9.

Thanks, I'll see now what Randy comes up with. Otherwise, maybe I'll
uninstall and reinstall ITunes.

Ok Randy,

Maybe this will make more sense. My daughter watched the monitor and says
that as I arrow through visually she can see the titles change. However,
JAWS only will read the first choice.

Wow, there sure is a lag time for posts on this list, I haven't even
seen my original post yet and I've got a reply to it.

I saw a sentence that said
iTunes 9.0.2 for Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7

and right after JAWS says "link" but I cannot activate it, that is
all the options I can find on the page.

cheers

I don't want to discourage discussion and participation, but this is a
friendly reminder that this forum is for discussions about web
accessibility. It is not intended to be a screen reader or application
technical support forum. Figuring out iTunes issues is well beyond the
scope of this forum. There are many other wonderful avenues for
discussing such topics. Again, please remain involved in discussions,
but with over 1,000 subscribers it's important for all that we don't
dilute the central message of this forum and that messages remain on
topic, relevant, and informative.

Thank you.

Randy,

That's how I use to do my adding. What I'm now trying to add each day are
radio programs that aren't podcasts, I record them on the computer then put
them on the IPod to take to work. So, it'ws not really a playlist I guess.
I'll have to see which version I'm up to with ITunes. I can tell you though
that this has been happening for over a month if that helps. I suppose I
could start over but don't really want to.

I apologize to all for the track we took. We took it off list a little
too late :) Won't happen again.

Hi Hamish

Well I've solve the puzzle and it is an daccessibility issue on
Adobe's part, seems they need a lesson on link phrases.

I found the link and this is what I get:
en_US/iTunes_enUS_Dwdl_09022008

This is one of the most basic Guidelines and should be a no brainer,
so why am I getting this kind of accessibility from Adobe in 2009

If anyone from Adobe is on this list perhaps they'd like to address it.

cheers

Ok, sounds similar to voiceover then. I don't know what the issue is
with the dead link and being directed to the website, but it sounds
like someone else had the issue and figured it out.

Man, itunes is great when it works, but it can be such a pain ;)

Hi

Think you might want to address that one to Apple and not Adobe.

Hi

In windows it takes you to the web site to download the executable, its
not done from within the application. I have done it a couple of times
recently once with Jaws 10 and once with 11 so it is possible I just
cant remember off the top of my head. I think there is a link that says
windows and then that activates the download, but as I said I am not
positive and I am at work so cant have a play.

It is possible though.
