Hello Aman,
There is no tool that does 100% accessibility evaluation. Accessibility evaluation takes a manual assessment and functional evaluation with screen readers. Tools can help in checking some of the validation.
Those are some Firefox extensions that can help:
- Wave Toolbar
- Web Developer Toolbar
- Firebug
For the coding level:
- WCAG 2.0 techniques and failures can be a good thing to start with. The WCAG quick ref is easy to use www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG20/quickref/.
- Check also http://webaim.org/intro/#training and http://www.w3.org/WAI/eval/Overview.html
Good luck,
Rabab

Rabab,
Have you used the Wave toolbar and how accessible is the toolbar for blind
folks?

Hello Reinhard,
Yes I use the Wave toolbar. I find it very useful because it gives the levels of heading, alt, start and end of list as well as headers/IDs of complex table... It makes assessment much easier.
Re: how accessible is the toolbar for blind: I am not sure.

Hi,
Not sure if toolbar itself is accessible via keyboard, but all options are available via application context menu a.k.a right click.
Jared, can you please confirm?
Regards,
Srinivasu

Correct. The visible WAVE toolbar at the top of the browser window is
not directly keyboard accessible (as far as I know it cannot be made
keyboard accessible), but you can access all toolbar functions through
either the Tools menu or the context menu. You can also set custom
shortcut keys to WAVE functions in the toolbar Options.

I remember Web accessibility Toolbar available on Vision Australia's website
seems to be accessible via keyboard and if my memory correct, using
alt+ctrl+ numeric, one can access the tool bar options, but that was on IE,
is there a limitation to introduce such a functionality for Firefox? I'm
asking this just out of curiosity.

Hi Srinivasu,
The web accessibility toolbar can be operated using the keyboard (alt+ctrl+
X) to open menus then use the arrow keys to navigate, you can also enable
visual rendering of the shortcut keys via the options menu.
Note, the version of the toolbar available from vision australia is
curently one version behind, for the latest version go to Web Accessibility
Toolbar - www.paciellogroup.com/resources/wat-ie-about.html
regards

Firefox does not typically allow toolbars and other XUL/chrome
elements to be placed in the keyboard navigation flow. If users were
forced to navigate through all of the toolbar buttons on each page,
this would significantly decrease keyboard accessibility. Instead,
toolbars should provide access to the toolbar button functions via the
browser menus or context menu. In addition to these, shortcut keys can
be provided. As Steve noted, the Web Accessibility Toolbar provides
the alt+ctrl+X menu. With the WAVE toolbar you can customize your own
shortcut keys to ensure they don't conflict with other shortcuts on
your system.
