Can someone recommend a screen reader for someone who has lost their vision due to macular degeneration? Also where can they get training on using the screen reader in Houston, Texas?

Thanks!

Ann--What is the person's age and preferred platform (Mac or PC)? What mainstream applications do they need to work with? Is cost a factor? Do they have any usable vision?

Your friend should contact the Lighthouse for the Blind there in Houston. I hear they have some wonderful programs available to the blind.
