Subject: JAWS reading out alt text twice

Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone can give me tips on creating a Word document to ensure that JAWS does not read out alt text twice. My text is only entered once in the Description area but it is being read out twice. Also, the alt text is being read out first in the document, rather than further down in the content where the image is placed.
I'd appreciate any tips! Thanks,
