Subject: US DOJ settles with Peapod
No previous message | Next message →
Below, a DOJ announcement that they settled accessibility issues with the
online grocery ordering system PeaPod. Very interesting. PeaPod is owned by
Ahold, a large Dutch food conglomerate that bought out several grocery store
chains in the US and is the 9th largest grocery retailer in the US. Ahold
acquired the online PeaPod service when it purchased one of the local
chains.
This decision could have long-term effects on all commercial online
services.
Here's the announcement.
The Justice Department announced today

Great! Pea Pod is part of Giant Foods. I have been blind for ten years and have never been able to navigate the site easily using JAWS.
