Dear Listers,
I have an internet issue that goes beyond email.
First, I am using NVDA, FireFox as browser, and windows 7.
Whenever I type an internet link such as www.webaim.org
it does not automatically hyperlink. I am informed this changed due to
either a Windows Seven update or FireFox update.
Beyond pasting the link or using standard Gmail if typing this in an
Email, is there a function within con:fig that will restore automatic
links when internet addresses are typed?
I am a totally blind computer user, so rely on hot keys.
Thank you in advance.

I would check your control panel Internet settings. You can get to this via IE11 as well under the tools option. IN the advance dialog tab, there is an option for what you are seeking. See if this helps.

Hello List Members,
I wish to thank Mr. Sean Murphy for his response to my June 26, 2017
post asking the question concerning restoring links when typing
internet addresses into emails or on social media so they do not
appear just as letters. Incidentally, in the digest post, when I typed
the URL for webaim as my example, it is hyperlinked.
By way of review, I am using NVDA as a screen reader, Mozilla FireFox
as browser and Windows 7.
Unfortunately, I am not able to address the question of structure, as
that is beyond my knowledge. I can only relate the problem and how it
appears.
To clarify, is a solution to be found by going into the browser tools,
then options menu, choose the advance settings, and then what am I
listening for to specifically check or uncheck to restore automatic
link issue?
When you respond would you mind briefly stating your qualification?
Again, thank you for your time and assistance.
