Anybody know of a group of accessibility professionals that gets together
regularly using something like Zoom, where they can share designs and
bounce ideas off one another? If there isn't something going already,
then, if folks think that would be worthwhile, maybe I could set something
up with our instance of Zoom. What do you think?

Best,
Rob

Personally, I think that would be fun and interesting. Looking at designs and trying to figure out how many different ways there might be to make it accessible and figuring out what approach might be optimal is something I enjoy doing quite a lot.

Hi Rob,

There is a great monthly meeting (2nd Tuesday) of accessibility peeps
taking place at the University of Illinois. They have it on site, but they
have a call in number for those of us calling in remotely. I think they
also have a Skype for Business option, but I don't have access to that. We
cover different topics each month and there are a lot of really smart and
informed folks in there.

You can find more information on their site at:
https://itaccessibility.illinois.edu/collaborate/explore

It would be great to have more of this type of thing so I'd be interested
in participating if you set up group.

Thanks for the info on the University of Illinois meeting, Greg! If you
have expressed an interest in a meeting using our Zoom instance, I'll be
reaching out to you privately to try to arrange an initial meeting to
figure out how to go about it exactly.

There is a Accessibility Channel in the WordPress Slack that does bug
scrubbing, I think every Monday morning. While it's not a "bounce ideas"
kind of meeting, I always find it interesting to read through.

This sounds like a fantastic idea. I'm just catching up with all my emails so I apologize for joining this thread so late.

Interesting.
On a similar lines I have just started a quarterly webinar on Zoom covering
different topics of accessibility. I did my first one on July 10th. I am
currently in the process of collecting the feedback. I will soon plan for
the second one. Let me know if anyone are interested. I will share the
signup once it is live.

Here is the one I just closed.
