Hi all
A quick question, but I suspect that it will not be a quick answer. Why do
we need screen hints with our screen readers?
Thanks in anticipation
Cheers

That might be too broad of a question. Using a specific example, if
there's a "read more" link and it's visually obvious what you'll read more
about but it's not programmatically obvious what you'll read more about,
then screen reader text or hints would help. I typically use screen reader
hints when it gives more context.

Thanks, Glen. I was thinking more about mobile devices and fixed UI such as
a TV's EPG. When a person might work out what an element does by simple
trial and error, are hints necessary? I'm playing Devil's advocate here, as
I personally like hints but some find them too verbose.
Cheers
