Dear list,
Does anyone have any experience with regards to creating accessibility
training courses internally within your organizations? When you
created your training courses online what kind of platform did you use
to upload your training materials on? I am trying to create a training
course regarding how to use our unstoppable accessibility plug in that
is for Jira and Confluence. We are going to have a combination of
videos, text and quizzes within our training course. Is this a good
idea or not to have this for our course? Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Sincerely,
Nathan Clark

Hey Nathan,
My team is fortunate to be located within a university and use our learning
management system, Brightspace, to deliver our internal
digital accessibility training for our content management system. We also
require a certain score or above on the final quiz in order to pass and
gain full access to the CMS.
In case you don't have an LMS already available, another tool that we use
for other related things is Qualtrics. It is a robust surveying tool that
allows you to add lots of content, conditional workflow routing logic,
timers so if you want to enforce that someone watches your video (you can
hide the next button until the length of time of your video has passed),
scoring, and more. You could also use this tool for surveying
users/employees, market research, etc.
Hope this is helpful,
Eric

Eric,
How do you find the accessibility of Qualtrics surveys? We have found a lot of issues with them. I worked a bit with Qualtrics on remediating some of the issues a couple of years ago. Some progress was made but there were still outstanding problems. I don't know whether they have made further progress since then.

We are working with a client who uses Qualtrics for surveys and unless you use their most basic survey template which is accessible, none of the other templates are accessible nor can be modified for accessibility by the survey creator per the support staff at Qualtrics.
Thanks!
