Hi Lucy

Do you mean contrast of text over background images?

I often use this tool, the Optimal Overlay Finder https://codepen.io/yaphi1/live/oNbEqGV to help with that, it's from this blog post, Nailing the Perfect Contrast Between Light Text and a Background Image by Yaphi Berhanu: https://css-tricks.com/nailing-the-perfect-contrast-between-light-text-and-a-background-image/

There's other techniques of course like adding an outline around the text to increase contrast although it can make the text look more like "Meme text". I've seen some use drop shadow as another technique or add a solid background behind just the text.

If you mean a different issue with colour contrast and background images please share.

Take care
