Hello Everyone,

I have one of my team member who is a native screen reader user and is
involved in auditing an application which can be accessed only in AWS
instance.
I was told that switching between AWS instance and local desktop has been
quite problematic and would like to understand if anyone has gone through
this and has a solution already in place and any tips for a Screen reader
user to access AWS in a better way. The local screen reader stops working
in AWS, we have installed screen reader on AWS too, but the problem that
there is no immediate shortcut for the screen reader user to switch between
local and AWS is causing lots of issues.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Regards,
Sudheer

Good morning
Are you referring to Freedom scientific’s? JAWS?
If so
I have it set up with a shortcut key so all I need to do is press off control Jay and that will open the app if it is closed so that’s pretty much what I do so all I need to do.
Press insert F4
That will close the program
Then use the native desktop software.
Then press alt control J to re-open it again
If the program you’re talking to is something different than I am not sure how to help

Thanks Dino!

Yes, it is JAWS. I'll have this tried out. Thanks again!

If the screenreader is using JAWs can it be scripted? https://support.freedomscientific.com/Content/Documents/Other/ScriptManual/01-0_Introduction.htm

That would allow you to carry out a sequence of actions bound to a shortcut.
