Hi Everyone,
Greetings!
What is your thought that came to mind around the WCAG LEVEL A & LEVEL AA
regulation? Do we need to have a common flow between desktop and mobile?
One of my projects is something that does not currently apply on desktop we
have a one-pager, whereas, on mobile web, the flow is progressive (multiple
pages- Dialog inside Dialog).
Yes, we are using responsive designs.
We need to understand if this is compliant.
Looking forward to from hearing you.
Regards,
Bob

Hi Bob,
Although it does not seem absolutely clear what you are after, let me try:
First of all, WCAG is not a regulation. It's a standardized set of guidelines for creating accessible contents and interfaces. You can apply the guidelines to web pages, mobile applications, desktop applications, documents and other types of digital contents and interfaces, and you can measure whether your solution complies with the guidelines. Although the means you use to implement may differ across different platforms, technologies and interfaces, the principles behind the guidelines are the same. Sometimes you may need to tweak the wording in WCAG to have it make sense in a particular context, but the intentions and principles remain the same across.
For specific guidance, I would suggest that you have a look at the EN 301 549 standard (https://www.etsi.org/deliver/etsi_en/301500_301599/301549/03.02..01_60/en_301549v030201p.pdf); based widely on the WCAG, it covers users and usage (i.e., that an application should be functionally usable by blind people; that an application should be usable with common assistive technologies) as well as gives suggestions to how to implement in a particular context (web, non-web documents, software). I would particularly recommend that you have a look at chapters 4, 5 and 11.
Venligst/Kind regards
Lars

Lars offers great advice and information.
I would also add that if you mean by "flow" that the desktop and mobile versions of the user interface need to be identical or the task being performed (such as purchasing an item from an online shop), there is no requirement that the 2 be identical. That is one reason why, if you test a responsive app, you need to test all the different significant views of the content.

However, note that if the "mobile" flow is simply triggered as a
responsive adaptation to the smaller viewport, it will also be triggered
on "desktop" when zoomed. Which then has implications for 1.4.4 Resize
Text and 1.4.10 Reflow (there should not be loss of content or
functionality). i.e. if the "mobile"(small screen) view simply omits
lots of content/functionality, then you'll likely have a failure on your
hands here...

Hi Lars,
Thanks for your valuable feedback, appreciate it. Unfortunately, the link
shared by you is not showing any documents that say "Available soon".
Does it mean on the desktop website we have a one-pager, whereas, on the
mobile web, for the same page the flow is progressive (multiple pages-
Dialog inside Dialog) is acceptable (since objectives are same) Or do we
need to maintain the same flow on mobile what we have shown on desktop?

Bob
