Hello,
Does anyone know of best practices for handling asset verification for
programs like Medicaid in an accessible manner? What is best practice, or
is there a state that does this well? Iowa sends info in an accessible
format, but depends on individuals to send copies of bank statements,
paystubs, etc. Would it depend more on the accessibility of the bank
website and/or HR website to be able to save and submit it as a PDF? Are
there other options? Thank you.

Since I did not know the answer to this question, I asked my good friend chat.
Here is the response

Hello Anne,

Ensuring accessibility in asset verification for programs like Medicaid involves a multi-faceted approach. Consider leveraging APIs for direct data retrieval from financial institutions, promoting standardized document formats like PDFs, and exploring OCR technology for document readability. Collaborating with banks and HR departments to enhance their website accessibility can also contribute to a more inclusive process.
